Dr. Sanjay Mehrotra is a heart specialist and senior interventional cardiologist with more than 35 years of experience. He is based at NH Institute of Cardiac Sciences (previously Narayana Hrudayalaya), Bommasandra, where he does all his inpatient work and procedures, and he sees patients in the outpatient clinic every day. In the evenings he also consults at HealthQure Clinic, HSR Layout, in person or by video.
His practice covers adult cardiology, including coronary artery disease (blocked heart arteries), structural heart disease and diseases of the aorta. He has a special interest in treating heart valve disease without open surgery, through the blood vessels: TAVR/TAVI for the aortic valve, MitraClip for the mitral valve, and the newer non-surgical treatments for other valves as they become available.
